Our Story


In 2014, our company, Sobeys Québec made a major shift focusing on our expertise and our passion for food.

We created a vast movement – spreading the word about The Joy of Eating Better – that guides all our practices and decisions related to our employees, our customers, and our partners.

Our vision has become a reality. Sobeys Québec has become more than just a company. We have become an agent of change that contributes to the development of a healthy food culture.

And with the creation of The Joy of Eating Better Foundation, the adventure has only just begun.

Our Objectives

Because we are committed to our mission and strongly believe that we can make a real difference in our society, the entire Sobeys Québec family is proud to be making our movement a reality by enabling the young and the young at heart to eat better while never losing sight of the notion of enjoyment. To do this we are focusing on:

  • providing education about healthy eating
  • making food donations to those in need
  • encouraging people to cook more
